With years of use, porous pool decks become stained and can be difficult to maintain. That was the case with this residential pool deck in Tampa,Florida. The homeowners were looking to resurface with an easy to maintain option and found that Kym Martinez, of Impressions Decorative Concrete located in North Tampa,Florida, offered cementitious Stamp Overlay as the solution. Before the project could commence, the pool deck was prepped with a deep cleaning. SureCrete Design Products’ Stamp Overlay was then applied over the cleaned surface and stamped with the “Old English” design. The homeowners wanted a travertine look and chose a natural color scheme. Kym fulfilled their wishes by blending a custom palette from the natural tones of Eco-Stain, which was thoughtfully addressed on each “stone”. The entire finished surface was coated with Sure Seal Super 30 Acrylic Concrete Sealer to give it the durability to hold up to the intense sun and rain common in Florida. The homeowner was satisfied with an easy to maintain concrete solid surface that will last for years to come.
